A story with deep roots. Edizioni Universitarie Romane was founded in Rome in 1952 by Fernanda Conti and Gian Vittorio Pallai and established itself in Italian scholarly publishing, particularly in psychology and psychiatry, with historic series such as Psicoterapie, Fenomenologia and Gruppoanalisi.

Open Access Press carries this legacy into open access digital publishing: the same editorial care, a new way of disseminating knowledge. Our books are free for readers worldwide and published under Creative Commons licenses.

The editorial direction is entrusted to Gian Luca Pallai, journalist, member of the Italian National Order of Journalists (special register since 2002; card no. 183594), an editorial consultant with experience in revision, editing and editorial coordination of scholarly publications.

The press's scientific committee is currently being established and will support the editorial board in the evaluation of proposals.
